    The Rodeo Theatre in Burwell will show forKING&COUNTRY’s movie “Unsung Hero” this Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th at 8:00 PM. On Sunday, May 5th & Monday, May 6th “Unsung Hero” will be shown at 7:00 PM.

    All ladies are invited to a breakfast on Saturday, May 4th, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church fellowship hall in O’Neill, Nebraska. Guest speaker, Jolene Lichty, will share an inspirational message, & breakfast bagels, fruit and beverages will be served. A freewill offering to benefit Meals on Wheels and to help defray medical costs for Jolene will be taken. This event is sponsored by the O'Neill Ministerial association.

    Sandhills MOPS will meet on Thursday, May 9th at 9:30 AM at Calamus Trinity Methodist Church. All mothers with young children are welcome & there’s no cost to attend. Childcare is provided. The church is located at 917 I Street in Burwell, Nebraska.

    The next Norfolk Women’s Connection meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 21st from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Nebraska. EJ Maret will be the main speaker, sharing a message on forgiveness and God’s unconditional love. Julie Couch will lead worship, and Wayne Ohnesorg will share a special feature on butterflies.     EPIC Ministry’s Friends of Freedom Celebration & Fundraiser will take place at the Wakefield Civic Center in Wakefield, Nebraska on Saturday, June 1st.

    Set Sail Vacation Bible School will take place at First Baptist Church in Norfolk, Nebraska beginning June 2nd through June 4th. All children ages four years old through the sixth grade are welcome to come aboard a voyage with God as your captain where you will learn how to follow Jesus as you learn how to love others and use your gifts to serve others. A free meal will be served each evening from 6:00 until 6:30 PM with the VBS program to follow until 8:00 PM. Registration information is available at https://www.firstbaptistnorfolk.com.     The 20th Annual Christian Cross Festival will take place at Skyview Lake Park in Norfolk, Nebraska on Saturday, June 8th. This year’s lineup will include performances by Adelaide Music, Remedy Drive, Consumed By Fire, 7eventh Time Down, Cochren & Co., & Jordan Feliz. Admission to the festival is free.     The 2024 Wayne State College Summer Speech Camp takes place June 17th through 21st in Peterson Fine Arts Hall. The event provides campers with a fun and educational experience led by Wayne State College students and faculty. Participation is open to students who’ve completed grades 7-12.     Big Daddy Weave is bringing the Heaven Changes Everything Tour to Beatrice, Nebraska on Thursday, June 20th.     The 2024 Wayne State College Music Camp takes place June 24th through 27th in the Peterson Fine Arts Hall. This four-day event allows campers to have fun and make music while improving fundamental musical skills. Participation is open to students who’ve completed grades 5-12.     The 2024 Nebraska Joni and Friends Family Retreat will take take place July 29th through August 2nd at The Crossing Retreat Center in Lexington, Nebraska. This getaway offers a haven for families living with disability. At this Retreat, every member of the family will feel at home, enjoy relaxation, recreation, and fellowship with other families navigating disability.
